Norwegian is set to launch a summer service between London Gatwick and the Greek island of Rhodes.
From June 17 until September 16, the carrier will run a direct, weekly service to Rhodes – the fifth Greek island to be served by Norwegian at its Gatwick hub, including Corfu, Crete, Kefalonia and Santorini.
In addition, Norwegian has announced plans to launch a further 17 flights from Gatwick between March 26 and October 28.
These include:
- Twice weekly flights to Kefalonia
- Six weekly flights to Palma de Mallorca
- New summer service to Chania, Crete
- New summer service to Ibiza
- 24 weekly flights to Oslo
- Three weekly flights to Aalborg
- Eight weekly flights to Stavanger
Chief commercial officer of Norwegian Thomas Ramdahl said:
“With a new direct route to Rhodes and increased services to the Mediterranean and Scandinavia, we are offering UK passengers even more choice and lower fares than ever before to popular European destinations from London Gatwick. Rhodes is a fantastic addition to our growing UK route network and with affordable fares from £29.90 one way, we expect Brits to flock to the Greek island this summer.”
Norwegian now serves over 40 destinations, departing from London Gatwick, Manchester, Edinburgh and Birmingham. Short-haul flights are operated by a fleet of B737 aircraft offering free wifi.
