Kempegowda International Airport will remain closed between 1030 and 1700 from February 19 to April 30 next year.

The airport will undergo extensive upgradation during this period. It plans to build two Rapid Exit Taxiways (RETs) that will up air traffic movement from 38 flight movements per hour to 48 flight movements per hour.

Airport authorities will improve flight handling capacity during operational hours. Civil Aviation Ministry has approved authorities to work out alternate flight schedules with airlines to compensate for the temporary closure. bengaluruairport.com
