Qatar Privilege Club is replacing membership cards for new bottom level Burgundy members and their families with digital cards starting November 1, 2016

Members can access their digital card by logging into their Privilege Club account on any mobile or tablet device, from where the card can then be saved or emailed.

The loyalty programme rewards Qatar Airways fliers in Qmiles for booking travel with the airline, other oneworld airlines and non-airline partners, which can then be spent on flights, upgrades and Duty Free shopping.

Qmiles are earned at different rates depending on the membership tier of the earner. Burgundy membership is the basic tier, followed by Silver, Gold and Platinum. Members advance through tiers by booking travel with Qatar Airways and its partners.

All members can nominate up to nine family members to join the programme. Nominated family will receive their own memberships, but Qmiles will be credited to the main member’s account.

Privilege Club will continue to distribute physical cards to Silver members and above. Burgundy Members will be able to use the digital card to make Duty Free purchases, check in for flights, and utilise the programme’s partner services.
