Celebrations for Diwali have begun already. Adding to the festivities, five Indian airlines have contests, sales and promotions on offer for passengers.

GoAir
Using promo code GO250 will enable a ₹250 discount at the time of purchasing a GoAir ticket, any time before October 31, for travel between November 15 and December 20. However, this offer is valid only for limited seats, across select fare types. This will be revealed at the time of booking. goair.in
IndiGo
The budget airline is offering cashbacks for payments made through MobiKwik, a wallet app available on mobile phones. Once the transaction is completed, the e-money will be credited to the customer’s MobiKwik account within 48 hours.
Flyers will receive a ₹300 cashback on bookings made on the airline’s website, and a ₹400 cashback on bookings made on the IndiGo mobile app.
The offer is valid only if booked between October 25 and 29. No travel period has been specified for this.
Further, the website states that an “additional discount of up to seven per cent on the IndiGo App is applicable only on base fare across all domestic flights for bookings made 15 days in advance. The additional discount is not applicable on sale fare.” To avail of this, one must enter promo code APPPRMO at the time of booking. goindigo.in
Jet Airways
The full-service airline is offering all-inclusive Diwali special one-way fares, starting at ₹345: Chennai-Coimbatore is ₹345, Mumbai-Goa is ₹835, Ahmedabad-Mumbai is ₹500 and Kolkata-Guwahati is ₹971.
Jet Airways says: “Valid for both one way and return journeys, the special fares offer guests’ substantial savings on Economy travel across direct flights on participating sectors. The offer is available on first-come-first serve basis.”
The six-day sale opened bookings at the stroke of midnight on October 25 and will end on October 30. It is valid for travel until 15 days after the date of purchase. jetairways.com
SpiceJet
“Spicy Hot Jackpot” by SpiceJet will run a lucky draw contest for seven consecutive weeks starting November 1. Each week, seven passengers stand a chance of winning a Royal Enfield 350 cc bike, premium smartphone, 40-inch Panasonic television, home theatre system, premium watch, Paper White Kindle, and SpiceVacations Couple’s Holiday Package for Goa.
At the end of each week, SpiceJet will announce the seven winners on its website. They will also be contacted via email.
The bumper prize is a Mercedes Benz C Class car, the winner for which will be announced at the end of the seventh week on December 16.
Additionally, 50 winners daily will be randomly selected for a free SpiceClub membership with benefits worth ₹3,000.

The full-service airline, a joint venture of Tata Sons and Singapore Airlines, will give a complimentary one-class upgrade to 250 bookings each day. Vistara also has an ongoing Diwali Celebration Sale wherein one-way flight tickets start from ₹920 (all inclusive).
