Tigerair expands China network with Zhengzhou launch

28 Jun 2016 by Clement Huang
Tigerair has become the only carrier to offer non-stop flights between Singapore and Zhengzhou. As the capital of Henan Province, Zhengzhou boasts a robust manufacturing industry and is being developed into a significant financial centre in China. The Zhengzhou New District, for example, is becoming a major hub for business, financial services as well as conferences and exhibitions. The three-times-weekly service linking Singapore with Zhengzhou operates every Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday, extending Tigerair’s network in China to ten cities – Guangzhou, Haikou, Jinan, Nanning, Ningbo, Quanzhou, Shenzhen, Wuxi, Xian and Zhengzhou. Flights are operated by the A320, which offers an all-economy configuration with 180 seats arranged in a 3-3 layout. “The new Zhengzhou service is part of our commitment to offer new and eye-opening travel possibilities for customers, providing a convenient direct air link for them to embark on a historical tour of the ancient capitals within Henan,” said Leslie Thng, chief commercial officer of Tigerair and Scoot. “Visitors from China may also connect via Singapore to other exciting cities on Tigerair’s network, and onward to the many destinations offered by our sister airline Scoot, as well Singapore Airlines and Silk Air under the SIA Group.” For more information, visit Clement Huang
