Pan Pacific Hotels Group will launch in Vietnam later this year with the introduction of Pan Pacific Hanoi.
The property was acquired by the group back in 2001 but has been operating as the Sofitel Plaza Hanoi. However, Accor’s management of the property will come to an end soon and the hotel is to be rebranded as Pan Pacific Hanoi on October 1.
As part of the rebrand, the hotel’s lobby, lobby bar, all-day dining restaurant and meeting space will be refurbished.
Located by the West Lake, Pan Pacific Hanoi is situated minutes from the historic Old Quarter and overlooks the Red River. It will feature 273 guestrooms and 56 serviced suites.
"Having a brand-defining hotel in Hanoi is part of our strategy to establish our presence in key gateway cities in the Asia-Pacific region. We are committed to Vietnam as a strategic growth market as it ushers in a new phase of exciting developments in travel and tourism," said Bernold Schroeder, chief executive of the Pan Pacific Hotels Group.
