Ethiopian Airlines takes delivery of its first Airbus A350 this week, becoming the first African carrier to fly the new-generation wide-body aircraft.
The airline has a total of 14 A350s on order, configured with 30 Cloud Nine business class seats, and 318 economy seats.
Ethiopian says it will primarily operate its first A350 on routes from Addis Ababa to Lagos and Dubai.
The carrier is the second Star Alliance member to operate the A350, joining Singapore Airlines.
Commenting on the delivery Tewolde GebreMariam, Group CEO of Ethiopian airlines said:
