23 Jun 2016 by Clement Huang

Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts will open its fourth property in Hong Kong this December with the 545-room Kerry Hotel, Hong Kong. Reservations will begin in September.

Situated on the Hung Hom Bay waterfront in Kowloon, the 16-storey hotel will be located close to Hung Hom Ferry Pier and be within walking distance of the Tsim Sha Tsui East shopping district.

More than 60 per cent of all guestrooms will offer harbour views, with accommodation ranging in size from 42 sqm for a Deluxe City View room to 294 sqm for Kerry Hotel’s rooftop suite.

Meanwhile, a club lounge will be available for executive guests, and there will be five restaurants and bars on site, including a food marketplace incorporating both modern and traditional culinary techniques.

Kerry Hotel, Hong Kong will offer plenty of event space: along with a 1,756 sqm Grand Ballroom that can seat up to 1,030 people, it will also have 17 flexible meeting venues that can accommodate from 30 to 660 people.

Other hotel facilities will include a 25-metre outdoor swimming pool, 24-hour fitness centre and select retail shops.

“People no longer look just for accommodation and dining facilities in a hotel. They desire a holistic destination that satisfies a variety of needs while at the same time providing a sense of belonging and connection to the community,” said Kerry Hotel, Hong Kong general manager Nicholas Smith.

“With its extensive amenities and outlets, spectacular views and vibrant ambience, Kerry Hotel, Hong Kong will become a favourite waterfront destination for both Hong Kong residents and visitors.”
