Corinthia Hotels has announced plans to open a new hotel in Dubai.
Scheduled for 2019, the Corinthia at Meydan Beach will include 300 bedrooms and 60 high-end serviced apartments located on the site of the former Meydan Beach Club.
The beachfront hotel will feature a range of indoor and outdoor leisure and dining facilities as well as a spa, club, landscaped gardens and swimming pool.
An adjoining 55-storey tower will house the hotel’s rooms, suites, residential apartments and entertainment areas, and offer views of Palm Island and the Dubai Eye.
The hotel's design will be headed by US-based architects AE7, whose projects include Dubai’s One Za’abeel Kempinski Hotel, Movenpick Hotel and Apartments and the FIX Hotel Motorcity.
This will be the ninth property to be launched by Corinthia Hotels, with hotels in St Petersburg, Malta, Prague, Lisbon, Budapest, Khartoum, London and the launch of the Corinthia Hotel Brussels also scheduled for 2019.
