Marriott is to open its first property in the German city of Bonn.
The 336-room Mariott Bonn World Conference Hotel features rooftop restaurant and bar Konrad Adenauer, named after the German Federal Republic’s first Chancellor, and offering views of the Rhine, Siebengbirge (seven mountains) and the city.
Other facilities include 662 sqm of meeting space, a fitness centre, an indoor swimming pool and a 1,500 sqm spa built around historic Roman remains. Each floor of the hotel has images of famous figures from the city’s political past.
Marriott Bonn World Conference Hotel is the first property by the group in the city, although neighbouring Cologne has two Marriott hotels - Cologne Marriott Hotel and Courtyard by Marriott Cologne.
Earlier this month Marriott opened its first hotel in Macedonia – the 164-room Skopje Marriott.
