Eva Air to launch flights to Chicago

19 May 2016 by Clement Huang
Eva Air will launch a four-times weekly service between Taipei Taoyuan and Chicago O’Hare on November 2. The new route will be the first linking Chicago with Asia since United began non-stop flights between Chicago and Shanghai back in 2004. Like many of its US services, Eva Air will deploy the B777-300ER on the Taipei–Chicago route. The wide-body aircraft will feature a three-class configuration with 38 seats in Royal Laurel (business), 64 in Elite (premium economy) and 211 in economy. Royal Laurel (business) class Flight BR056 will depart Taipei at 1950 on Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday, arriving in Chicago at 1940. The return flight BR055 will then take off from Chicago at 0020 on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday, before touching back down in Taipei at 0600 the next day. Since joining Star Alliance in 2013, the Taiwanese carrier has been ramping up its presence in North America due to the valuable connection opportunities that it now enjoys. With the addition of Chicago, Eva Air will have eight gateways in North America, which also include Houston, Los Angeles, New York, San Francisco, Seattle, Toronto and Vancouver.
