Courthouse Hotel Shoreditch is set to open on Old Street on June 1.

Formerly Old Street Magistrates’ Court and Police Station, the hotel has undergone a £40 million renovation to include 86 guest rooms and 42 suites in both wings, as well as Shoreditch Sky Terrace Suites, the hotel’s one bedroom luxury residences.

The hotel has retained its period features in a nod to the history of the Grade II listed Baroque building. It has three dining venues including the former Courthouse Number 1, which offers fine dining and Courthouse Number 2, which is now the hotel’s members bar. The Shoreditch Sky Terrace bar offers panoramic views of London.

It also has a 196-seat cinema, two-lane bowling alley with private bar and events space that can seat 450, with 900 for standing cocktails. The spa has a heated indoor swimming pool, gym, treatment rooms, steam room and sauna.

This is the second Courthouse hotel to open in London (see news February 2016). The first is housed in the former Great Marlborough Street Magistrate’s Court near Carnaby Street.
