London City Airport is trialling the use of a new “First Class Lounge”.

First Class Lounge London City

The airport, which lacks lounge facilities for flyers, is using the lounge in its neighbouring Jet Centre.

The lounge has been refurbished, and now has seating for a total of 18 passengers. At the moment as part of a “soft opening” period, use of the lounge must be pre-booked.

Its location at the Jet Centre means that passengers would either be dropped off at the location directly (rather than the terminal) or can arrange a pick-up from the main London City Terminal.

The lounge offers dedicated check-in, security and then passengers are driven to the aircraft’s steps in a chauffeured car.

For departures, if travelling with hold luggage check-in and transport of bags is arranged.

The lounge has a selection of food and drink, with hot food soon to be offered, and the use of two meeting rooms.

The current price per passengers is £180 per person. Children aged 0-2 years’ travel free.
