Qatar Airways schedules one-time A380 service to Atlanta

28 Apr 2016 by Clement Huang
Passengers travelling with Qatar Airways on its inaugural flight between Doha and Atlanta on June 1 will be able to experience the carrier’s A380 service. The superjumbo will be deployed on a one-time scheduled service, with the B777 taking over regular daily service from June 2 onwards. Qatar’s A380 service to Atlanta is significant as it will be the first time the airline has deployed the aircraft to the US. Featuring a three-class configuration, the superjumbo will feature eights seats in first, 48 in business and 461 in economy. The first and business cabins are located on the upper deck, while economy class is split across both decks. Premium passengers can also visit the onboard bar, which doubles as a lounge, and offers a range of drinks as well as snacks throughout the flight. Flight QR755 will depart Doha at 0905 and arrive in Atlanta at 1655. The return service (QR756) will then take off from Atlanta at 1925 before touching back down in Doha at 1615 the following day. Qatar Airways chief executive Akbar Al Baker said: “The Qatar Airways A380 provides a memorable experience for our passengers, with a spacious double-decker layout, customised interiors and convenient design. “We look forward to welcoming our passengers to and from Atlanta on our inaugural flight on June 1, but also on every flight thereafter... serving the global travel needs of the people of Atlanta.” For more information, visit qatarairways.com Clement Huang
