Accor has unveiled three new Southeast Asian properties, Sofitel Luang Prabang in Laos; Veranda Resort Pattaya in Thailand; and Pullman Vung Tau in Vietnam. Sofitel Luang Prabang The luxury property is located in a century-old former governor’s mansion, and also serves as a gallery, housing Indochinese art, a wine cellar and library. Featuring 25 clay-roofed suites, with sizes ranging from 46 to 120 sqm, the accommodations each offer their own private garden, bathtub or private pool. Meanwhile, the interiors contain traditional elements such as shuttered windows and hand-carved poster bed frames, which are complemented by new technologies such as flat-screen televisions and wifi. Facilities include the all-day dining restaurant Governor’s Grill that offers a blend of western and traditional Lao cuisine. Along with a spa, there is also a private boardroom and lounge that can accommodate up to 70 people.   Veranda Resort Pattaya Located on Na Jomtien beach, this 145-room hotel has been designed with a “lifestyle-by-the-sea” theme, that combines modern design with oceanic colours. F&B options include The Dining Room (Thai and international cuisine), I Sea Sky restaurant and bar, and the pool bar. The hotel also offers an array of recreational facilities including a fully equipped fitness centre, swimming pool, spa and kids club. There are also two meeting rooms, offering 300 sqm of conference space able to accommodate up to 220 guests.   Pullman Vung Tau As the first five-star international hotel in this seaside destination, the Pullman Vung Tau is a 1.5 hour drive from the busy Ho Chi Minh City, making it an attractive choice for a quick getaway. The 356 rooms offer views of either the city or sea, and come with complimentary wifi and the brand’s signature bedding. The all-day dining restaurant Riviera offers both buffet and a la carte options, while guests can also experience tapas at the Corniche Ultra Lounge. The Lobby Bar and Pool Bar offer a selection of cocktails and refreshments. Finally, the hotel is home to the largest meeting facilities in Southern Vietnam, with over 2,036 sqm of event spaces.
