Rosewood Hotels and Resorts has added a Washington DC property to its portfolio, with the group taking over the management of the Capella Washington DC.
Now known as the Rosewood Washington DC, the 49-room hotel is situated on the C&O Canal in the city’s Georgetown district.
Features include the Grill Room overlooking the canal, Rye Bar for whiskeys and cocktails, and a rooftop lounge with indoor and outdoor pool and views over the city.
Rosewood recently announced it is to open its first Scottish property, housed within a listed building formerly home to the Royal High School (see news September 2015).
The group is also set to open its first property in South America in 2018. The Rosewood Sao Paulo will be housed within the early 20th century Cidade Matarazzo complex, which will be turned into a mixed-use development of shops, entertainment venues and apartments (see news July 2015).
