After its debut in Brussels, Radisson Red has announced plans to debut in India next year with a 160-room property in Mohali. The second one will open in Gurugram (erstwhile Gurgaon).

The upscale Radisson Red has a trendy image with a “social atmosphere” with focus on technology. The property lacks a front desk as its RED app allows keyless entry and acts as a virtual concierge.

“Radisson Red is a brand that we are looking to open in, for example, a shopping or office complex, which means a better and quicker return on investment,” says Raj Rana, CEO, South Asia, Carlson Rezidor. “We would like to open 15-20 properties under the Radisson Red brand in India in the next five years near metro locations. We are also considering secondary Indian cities.”
