Ryanair targets business and high-end travellers

13 Apr 2016 by Alex McWhirter

Ryanair has unveiled the next stage of its “Always Getting Better” marketing plan which will run through 2016.

There are many new initiatives which will see the carrier introduce some bundled fares for both the business and leisure market.

There will also be travel “Extras” bookable in the mobile app. These include upgrading of seating, fast track, transfers and so on.

Ryanair has been targeting business travellers for some time (see news, 2014)

Ryanair says it intends to have six baggage options which it claims is a reduction from the current 108.

Perhaps most revolutionary (for Ryanair) is the launch of the carrier's first frequent flyer programme.

For some time Ryanair has encouraged flyers to sign up to "My Ryanair" but the club will be expanded to offer discounts and 24 hour priority to seat sales amongst other benefits.

Note that further details will be available in due course as will the dates when the above-named amenities are brought in.
