Starting April 21, Air India will fly between Mumbai and Bhavnagar on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.

The 75 minute flight AI-9629 will depart from Mumbai at 1730, and the 65 minutes return flight AI-9630 will depart from Bhavnagar at 1925.

Jet Airways previously serviced the route but stopped on March 27 2016. Despite its doubts about the possibilities for the route, Air India says, ”We carried out a feasibility survey at the Bhavnagar airport last week. According to our study, there is a sustainable demand and we believe that this route will generate traffic and revenue.”

Air India will serve the route with an ATR-72 with a capacity of 70 passengers.
