SIA deepens codeshare agreement with Lufthansa

7 Apr 2016 by Clement Huang

Singapore Airlines (SIA) and Lufthansa have expanded their codeshare agreement, which will enable customers flying with the two Star Alliance members to benefit from enhanced connections and new destinations.

The expanded partnership will see SIA place its marketing code on more than 20 Lufthansa- and Swiss-operated flights departing from Munich and Zurich, including:

Via Munich: Berlin, Bremen, Brussels, Cologne, Dusseldorf, Geneva, Hamburg, Hanover, Nuremberg, Stuttgart, Vienna and Zurich

Via Zurich: Berlin, Dresden, Dusseldorf, Graz, Hanover, Hamburg, Nuremburg and Stuttgart

Reciprocally, Lufthansa and Swiss customers will be able to access codeshare travel on SIA-operated flights serving destinations in Southeast Asia and the Southwest Pacific.

The codeshare expansion is the result of the joint-venture agreement signed by both SIA Group and the Lufthansa Group back in November 2015 (see here), which aims to deepen cooperation in key markets across Europe, Southeast Asia and Australia.
