China Airlines has started to accept bookings for an A350 service between Taipei Taoyuan and Rome.
The Skyteam member currently serves the route with an A330-300, but will begin deploying its A350 from December 3. Further sweetening the deal is that the twice-weekly service, which currently features a layover in Delhi, will become a non-stop route.
Capacity wise, the A350 will offer more premium seats over the A330, with economy class seating being reduced. Whilst the A330 offers a two-class configuration, with 30 seats in business and 277 in economy, the A350 will come with a three-class layout, with 32 seats in business, 31 in premium economy and 243 in economy.
The revised flight schedule will see CI075 depart Taipei every Tuesday and Saturday at 0900 before arriving in Rome at 1720. The return service on flight CI076 will then take off from Rome at 1920 and touch back down in Taipei at 1525 the following day.
