Ryanair takes delivery of 400th B737-800

4 Apr 2016 by BusinessTraveller

Ryanair has taken delivery of its first Boeing B737-800 aircraft, featuring the carrier’s latest slimline seats.

The airline took delivery of its first B737-800 in March 1999, and is now the largest operator of the next-generation Boeing aircraft in the world.

Ryanair celebrated the occasion with the tweet:

“We’ve taken delivery of our 400th @BoeingAirplanes aircraft. Remember, if it ain’t Boeing, we ain’t going! #avgeek”

The carrier also has unfulfilled orders for over 130 further B737-800s, as well as orders for 100 B737 Max 200 aircraft, for which it is the launch carrier (see news September 2014).
