Malaysia Airlines has unveiled the first of its A330 aircraft fitted with the carrier's new fully-flat business class seat.
As previously reported (see news November 2015), the seat features a 76-inch bed, with 44 inches of seat pitch, 20 inches of width, and a 16-inch TV screen.
The seat is configured 1-2-1 or 1-2-2 depending on where in the aircraft you are sitting, and the carrier says that 90 per cent of seats have direct aisle access.
The retrofitted A330 aircraft offer a total of 27 business class seats (down from the pervious 36), and 263 in economy.
The new business class seat debuted on Malaysia Airlines’ Kuala Lumpur-Sydney route yesterday (March 23), and will gradually feature on flights from KL to Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Korea, China and India.
All of carrier’s 15 A330s will be fitted with the new seats by September this year.
