Accorhotel’s Pullman brand has opened its first new-build property in the UK, overlooking Liverpool’s waterfront.
The 216-room Pullman Liverpool is located on King’s Dock on the Rover Mersey, next to the Arena and Convention Centre (ACC).
Standard rooms feature 40-inch TVs with free movies on demand and free wifi, while Deluxe and Executive rooms also have Nespresso machines and Bose docking stations.
The Executive floor of the hotel has a lounge for up to 35 guests, and access to the recently-opened 8,100sqm Exhibition Centre Liverpool, while the hotel itself offers three meetings rooms, a business centre (aka The Connectivity Lounge), and a gym.
Brasserie-style Dukes restaurant is inspired by the docks and the city’s maritime history, and features a chef’s table and private dining room.
ACC Liverpool opened in 2008 as a multipurpose events and convention centre, and also comprises the 11,000 seater Echo Arena, and the BT Convention Centre.
The Pullman brand debuted in the UK in 2012 with the rebranding of the Novotel London St Pancras (see news July 2012), and there are plans to open a further ten Pullman properties across the UK, with five in London (see news October 2013).
