There have been two explosions at Brussels Airport this morning.
It is understood they happened by the SN Brussels desk on the ground floor of the departures lounge.
The airport has been evacuated and all flights have been cancelled - rail services to and from the airport have also been suspended.
Reports suggest that up to 35 people have been killed in explosions both at the airport and at the city's Maelbeek metro station "close to EU institutions". It is understood the entire metro system has been shut down.
BA has posted the following message on its website:
"British Airways flight BA389 departed safely this morning.
"We have cancelled the BA388 and BA392 flights due to fly to Brussels from Heathrow.
"We are seeking further information about the incident. We will keep ba.com updated throughout the day."
Eurostar has cancellled services to Brussels.
Business Traveller will update this page as more information becomes available.
