Travellers heading to or from Heathrow by Underground later this week should be prepared for disruption due to strike action.
Union member drivers on the Piccadilly line are set to stage a 24-hour walkout from late evening on March 23.
TfL says that should the strike go ahead, it will officially start at 2100, although service will continue until around 2230 – and is advising customers to “complete journeys on the Piccadilly line by this time, or travel earlier if possible”.
Heathrow Connect and Heathrow Express services are now back to running as normal, following issues earlier this month (see news March 3), and TfL says that “extra buses will be provided to help Londoners get around”.
The Piccadilly line will operate a Saturday service on Good Friday.
