French rail strike action causes Eurostar disruption

7 Mar 2016 by BusinessTraveller

French rail strike action has forced Eurostar to amend its schedules for this Wednesday (March 9), with several services being cancelled and customers being re-accommodated onto other trains.

Services departing London for Paris at 0540, 0831, 1331, 1731 and 1901 have been cancelled, as have trains leaving Paris for London at 0701, 0837, 1104 and 1837.

On the London-Brussels route services departing London at 0804 and 1804 have been cancelled, as have those leaving Brussels at 0852 and 1856.

Eurostar says that all other services to and from London, Paris, Brussels and Disneyland will run as normal, but the firm warns that onward connections may be affected by the strike action, and advises customers to check with the relevant operator.

Full details on which services affected travellers have been moved onto are available here. Eurostar says it has contacted all impacted customers with their new travel details.
