Malaysia Airlines (MAB) will soon expand the number of routes it codeshares with Emirates.
As previously reported (see here), MAB’s long-haul business has struggled, with the carrier axing a number of European services including flights to Amsterdam Schiphol and Paris Charles de Gaulle.
The Oneworld member has also cancelled all flights between Kuala Lumpur and Dubai. Instead, it currently codeshares with Emirates on the route.
With effect from March 1, the codeshare agreement that MAB has with its Gulf carrier partner will extend beyond Dubai, and encompass a wide range of routes.
According to airlineroute.net, this will include:
- Dubai – Bahrain
- Dubai – Barcelona
- Dubai – Frankfurt
- Dubai – Geneva
- Dubai – Lyon
- Dubai – Madrid
- Dubai – Nice
- Dubai – Paris CDG
- Dubai – Rome
- Dubai – Stockholm
- Dubai – Zurich
