Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group is to open its first Radisson Red property in Dubai in 2018.
The 171-room hotel will be located within Silicon Park at the forthcoming Dubai Silicon Oasis smart city project.
The hotel will feature dining outlets including OuiBar and ReDeli, as well as an outdoor terrace and “a number of reading rooms”.
Silicon Park is set to be completed in the second quarter of 2018, and will comprise 71,000 sqm of office space and 46,000 sqm of residential area, as well as the Radisson Red hotel, restaurants, cafes, health and fitness centres, running tracks and cycling trails, prayer rooms, a shopping centre and underground parking for more than 2,500 cars.
The park will be located around 14km from Dubai International airport, and 33km from Al Maktoum airport.
There are currently 11 Radisson Red properties under development, with the first due to open in Brussels later this year, and a Glasgow property scheduled to open in 2017 (see news September 7, 2015).
It is described by Carlson Rezidor as “a new lifestyle select hotel philosophy that boasts a forward-thinking focus on design and detail, the customer experience, personal interaction, personal choice and recognition of the increasingly important role that technology plays in facilitating the best of everyday life”.
Carlson Rezidor currently operates 13 hotels across its brands in Dubai.
