All Nippon Airways (ANA) will celebrate 30 years of international flights on March 3, 2016.
To commemorate the occasion, ANA has planned a series of gestures.
Passengers departing Japan on March 3 will receive:
1. An anniversary souvenir – an ANA-branded furoshiki (wrapping cloth).
2. An ANA special parfait dessert – the Japanese carrier will bring back one of its most popular in-flight offerings, the original ANA parfait. This will be served in both first and business class on flights departing Japan for Europe and the US, excluding Honolulu and late-night departure flights.
Certain routes will also feature special in-flight menus. ANA has teamed up with chefs and collaboration partners to serve the following dishes on March 3 only:
- Narita–Washington (NH2): Hand-rolled sushi in first and business class
- Haneda–Paris (NH215): Pierre Herme parfait in business class
- Narita–Singapore (NH845): Soraton ramen noodles by Ippudo in business class
In addition, flight attendants on NH6, from Narita to Los Angeles, will be modelling uniforms from throughout ANA’s history.
Since launching its inaugural flight from Tokyo to Guam in 1986, the Star Alliance member has expanded its international route network, and now operates 59 routes spanning 29 cities.
