Plaza Premium Group has officially opened the first property under its Aerotel transit hotel brand.
The 70-room Aerotel Singapore is located on level 3 of Terminal 1 at Singapore’s Changi airport, close to gate D41.
Rooms can be booked by the hour (with a minimum of six hours per stay) and include free wifi and access to the hotel’s leisure facilities.
These include an outdoor swimming pool (open 0600 – 0000 daily) – which Plaza Premium says is a first for an airport transit hotel – as well as a spa bath, pool-side bar, “fitness corner” and library lounge.
Rooms feature “supreme quality bedding fabrics”, a pillow menu, “powerful hot shower” and natural skincare products, and the group says that selected rooms have views of the airport runway.
Non-guests can also book use of the swimming pool at a cost of USD12 per hour.
Further Aerotel transit properties are also under development at Abu Dhabi International airport Terminal 1 (airside), and Heathrow Terminal 3 (landside in International Arrivals).
Plaza Premium operates airport lounges worldwide, and recently unveiled new meet and greet service Allways, and airport dining concept Flight Club (see news October 22, 2015).
The group also opened its first UK lounge at Heathrow T4 last year (see news May 20, 2015).
