American Airlines has launched a new partnership with mobile taxi-booking service Uber.
Customers booking flights with the carrier are able to set a reminder to book an Uber ride via a link in their e-ticket confirmation, and AA has added new functionality to its mobile app, allowing users to navigate to the nearest Uber pick up location at 11 airports across the US.
A promotion code “RIDEAA” has also been created granting all new Uber customers up to $20 off their first ride.
In addition all AAdvantage members who have attained Executive Platinum status by March 1 this year, will receive a unique code entitling them up $25 off their next Uber ride – whether they have used the service before or not.
AA has confirmed to Business Traveller that this code can be used against Uber journeys globally, not just in the US.
