Members of Etihad Guest can enjoy major bonus tier miles on flight bookings made this week.
Customers in economy stand to earn double Etihad Guest tier miles, while those in business and first will receive triple the standard rates.
All bonus rates apply to the actual miles travelled, (100 per cent miles), which is particularly good news for Breaking Deals economy class tickets. Normally, this fare class would earn 25 per cent of miles travelled, but under the conditions of the deal, these travellers will enjoy 225 per cent accrual.
Business class travellers will also benefit, although the triple point bonus will again be based on actual miles travelled rather than typical earning ratios. For example, customers booked under the business class “Breaking Deals” fare class typically receive 115 per cent of their miles travelled, but in this case customers will earn 315 per cent of the miles flown – not 345 per cent.
A return business class flight between Hong Kong and London booked under the “Breaking Deals” fare class would normally earn members 16,454 miles. With the bonus miles deal, cardholders stand to earn a total of 44,425 miles – which is enough for a one-way redemption ticket between Abu Dhabi and Karachi.
Arguably the best part of this promotion is that the bonus miles also contribute to members’ Etihad Guest tiers.

The limited-time promotion will last until February 20 and applies to travel taken between February 10 and June 30. This means the deal is valid for travel during the upcoming peak Easter holidays.
