Marriott International has expanded its presence in China with the opening of the Zhuhai Marriott Hotel.
The 332-room hotel is the first Marriott International property in the southern Chinese city.
It is located in Xiangzhou District – adjacent to the popular Jingshan Park, and a five-minute walk from the International Trade Shopping Plaza, Zhuhai Duty Free Store and the Zhuhai Museum. The Zhuhai Light Rail Station, Jiuzhou Ferry Terminal and Zhuhai Airport are all within driving distance.
“Zhuhai has such a dynamic economy and we expect great demand from the business community. The city now runs a pilot free trade zone scheme. It is strategically located as the gateway to Guangdong province, Hong Kong and Macau,” said Catherine Lew, general manager of Zhuhai Marriott Hotel.

Zhuhai Marriott Hotel is a renovation and expansion project of the Zhuhai Hotel, which was highly regarded for having a design rooted in Lingnan culture. The original building was designed in a Lingnan garden architecture style and Zhuhai Marriott Hotel has continued this tradition and enhanced it with Marriott International service standard.
All guestrooms and suites feature traditional Chinese elements, and offer views of either the Lovers’ Road or Lingding Ocean. In-room amenities include workdesk, king-sized bed, coffee and tea-making facilities, as well as bathroom amenities by Aromatherapy Associates. In-room wifi is also available.
There are six F&B outlets onsite. Guest can choose from all-day dining at City Bistro, Cantonese at Man Ho, Japanese at Tatsumi, snacks at Vue, cocktails at The Lounge, and freshly baked bread at China Baking Company.
Recreational facilities include a fitness centre and a heated outdoor pool. The Zhuhai Marriott Hotel also offers more than 1,600sqm of meeting space, including a 710sqm grand ballroom that can be divided into three distinct sections. Seven other meeting rooms round up the hotel’s event spaces – all of which come with audio and visual facilities as well as wifi.
