Swiss has released images of the special livery covering its first Boeing B777-300ER aircraft.
The carrier took delivery of its first B777 last month (see news January 29), and has celebrated by adding a livery depicting the faces of over 2,500 of its employees from around the world.
The Faces of Swiss livery has been designed to represent all areas of Swiss staff, from cabin crew to pilots, technicians, human resources, IT and marketing, with 12 faces chosen at random to appear as larger seven-metre high images.
A total of 450 sqm of foil – which is just 0.05mm thick and adds 50kg to the weight of the plane – was used to create the livery.
