Jet Airways has reported a profit of Rs.467 crore/$93.4 million for its 3rd quarter ending in December 2015 compared to previous year’s third quarter earnings which stood at Rs.29 crore/$5.8 million.

This is the airlines’ third consecutive profitable quarter and the highest ever.

Jet Airways also generated higher passenger traffic and increased aircraft utilisation in both domestic and international routes. The domestic passenger traffic grew by 15 per cent while the international passenger traffic grew by 5.1 per cent.

The airline has also strengthened its alliance with partner Etihad Airways and expanded its codeshare. The overall codeshare increased by 28 per cent and now stands at 534,104 passengers.
