Air India Express (AIE) will introduce flights from New Delhi to Dubai and Sharjah from May 10.

The Kochi-based arm of India’s national carrier will begin operating from New Delhi for the first time.

The carrier will also operate to Dubai and Sharjah from Mumbai, starting April 7.

AIE is also looking to increase its frequency between Kerala and the Middle East from 96 to 119 per week. This would take place gradually, starting March 28.

Connectivity between Dubai and Kozhikode will also been doubled, as a part of the airline’s new summer schedule, and two non-stop daily services will be added from Kozhikode to Bahrain and Doha.

Ras Al Kaihmah will also be added to the list of destinations serviced by Air India Express in the Gulf region, with four flights per week from Kozhikode.

The airline has recognised Kozhikode as its biggest revenue generator, increasing offered capacity from 8,184 seats to 11,718 seats per week.
