The Kensington hotel has completed a 12-month renovation project, adding a new bar and redesigned restaurant, as well as refurbished guest rooms.
The 136-room property is located in South Kensington on the corner of Old Brompton Road and Queen’s Gate, and is the first of the Doyle Collection’s eight properties to unveil a completely new-look as part of the group’s multi-million pound investment programme.
The hotel’s redesigned restaurant (pictured) has been renamed Town House, and is made up of three adjoining ground floor rooms – The Library, The Study, and The White Room with heated covered terrace.
K Bar features leather wingback chairs, velvet sofas and heritage sports artwork and memorabilia to create “a masculine, members’ club feel”.
The redesigned Brompton Suite will be unveiled in March, and will interconnect with existing Knightsbridge Suite (reviewed here in 2014).
Last year sister London property The Marylebone unveiled three new London Suites, complete with rectractable roofs, allowing them to be used as either outdoor or indoor spaces depending on the time of year (see news March 2015).
