Shilla Stay Guro opens in the heart of Seoul

3 Feb 2016 by Clement Huang

Shilla Stay has opened its eighth property in South Korea.

The 310-room Shilla Stay Guro is situated in the Guro district – home to Seoul’s tech hub and IT industry. The hotel is within close proximity of the Guro Digital Complex, which houses many of South Korea’s top technology firms. The nearest subway station is a five-minute walk away.

Spanning 25 floors, the modern interiors of Shilla Stay Guro were designed by Italian architect Piero Lissoni. Accomodation sizes start at 23 sqm for the standard and deluxe room categories, while the top tier grand rooms are double that size.

Three multipurpose meeting rooms can be customised for business functions or private events. Each is equipped with audiovisual and sound systems, while refreshments are available on request.

Guests also have access to the Business Corner, which comes with several computer terminals and high-speed internet access.

The all-day dining restaurant is located on the second floor and offers a breakfast, lunch and dinner buffet consisting of international and pan-Asian favourites.

There is also a fitness centre on the 21st floor, which delivers panoramic views overlooking downtown Seoul.

To commemorate the opening, Shilla Stay Guro is offering an introductory package throughout February. Guests staying at the hotel this month will receive a Shilla Stay Bear, complimentary breakfast for two, and access to the fitness centre. Rates start at KRW130,000 (US$107) per night.
