IHG opens new London property

3 Feb 2016 by Clement Huang

Intercontinental Hotel Group (IHG) has announced the opening of Intercontinental London – The O2.

Club lounge

Situated on the Greenwich Peninsula, the 453-room property is adjacent to the O2 Arena and offers access to central London in about 15 minutes.

There are three accommodation categories – Classic, Deluxe and Suite. All rooms overlook the River Thames, Royal Greenwich or the O2 Arena, and offer amenities such as complimentary wifi and 42-inch smart TVs. The granite appointed bathrooms offer separate bath and walk-in shower facilities.

Spa

Along with its five F&B outlets, which include The Peninsula Restaurant and rooftop sky bar Eighteen, the hotel also offers a health spa and one of Europe’s largest ballrooms. The 3,100 sqm pillar-free facility complements the hotel’s 19 meeting rooms and 1,600 sqm of pre-function space.

“We’re thrilled to be opening Intercontinental London - The O2 in one of the greatest cities in the world. Much like Intercontinental Hong Kong or Intercontinental Paris Le Grand, this iconic hotel is set to become a destination in its own right, next to one of the UK’s most popular entertainment venues.
