Starwood has opened its fourth property in Qatar – the 365-room Westin Doha Hotel and Spa.
The hotel is located on Salwa Road, close to Doha’s central business district, and around 20 minutes’ drive from Hamad International airport.
Features include six restaurants and bars, the largest pillarless ballroom in Doha, and a spa with nine treatment rooms – additional facilities including saunas, steam rooms and hydrotherapy pool facilities will open this spring.
Guests can also take advantage of Westin’s “Gear Lending programme”, allowing them to borrow New Balance trainers and athletic wear, and the property also features Doha’s “first man-made wave pool”.
The opening of the Westin Doha Hotel and Spa follows several delays, most recently in October last year when Starwood said that the decision had been taken “to ensure our impeccable customer service and unrivalled and tailored wellbeing and lifestyle experience for all guests is right from the very beginning”.
It is the fourth Starwood-branded property in Qatar, joining the Sheraton Doha Resort and Convention Centre, the St Regis Doha, and the W Doha Hotel and Residences.
Forthcoming hotels in the country include Four Points by Sheraton Doha (2018), Le Meridien Doha (2018) and Aloft Doha (2019).
