American Airlines is upgrading its service offering, by adding complimentary snacks on domestic flights, expanding its inflight entertainment options and introducing new amenity kits.
With effect from February, complimentary snacks will be served on AA’s flights between New York JFK–Los Angeles; New York JFK–San Francisco; and Miami–Los Angeles. Other services will receive the additional benefit by April.
Customers travelling on flights before 0945 will receive Biscoff cookies, while those departing after that time will have a choice between Biscoff cookies or pretzels. Other food items will also be for sale.
Meanwhile, AA has expanded its complimentary entertainment selection for domestic flights that are equipped with in-seat entertainment. Customers on those flights can now choose from up to 40 movies, 60 TV shows and 300 music albums.
Live television channels are also now available on long-haul international flights with wifi, operated by the B777-300ER, retrofitted B777-200ER and B787-8. Passengers in all cabins can choose from a selection of live news, sports and entertainment channels.
Finally, premium customers flying on long-haul international and transcontinental flights this March will receive new, designer-label amenity kits. All kits will feature a custom bag designed by Cole Haan, and consist of all-American products and toiletries, including skincare products by 3LAB Skincare, CO Bigelow Apothecaries and Clark’s Botanicals.
