Four Seasons to open all-suite Jakarta property

28 Jan 2016 by BusinessTraveller

Four Seasons has announced it will open a new property in the Indonesian capital Jakarta.

The 125-suite Four Seasons Hotel Jakarta will be located within the mixed-use Capital Place development in the city’s Sudirman central business district.

It will feature French Art Deco interiors created by New York designer Alexandra Champalimaud, responsible for projects at luxury hotels including London’s The Dorchester, the St Regis Beijing, and the Waldorf Astoria in New York.

Other details are limited at this stage, although the group says the hotel will feature “state-of-the-art spa, fitness and event and meeting facilities”, as well as restaurant and dining options “designed to appeal to locals and visitors alike”.

The new property will replace the previous Four Seasons Jakarta, which closed for renovations in late 2014, and will not be branded under Four Seasons when it reopens.

The Twitter page for this property currently advises that “The hotel is currently closed for an exciting redevelopment project. We look forward to welcoming you back in mid-2018.”

The new Four Seasons Hotel Jakarta is scheduled to open in the second half of 2016. Both the forthcoming and previous Four Seasons hotels in Jakarta are owned by the Rajawali Property Group.

The luxury hotel group is set to open the Four Seasons Hotel Bogota in April, its second property in the Colombian capital (see news January 14).
