All Nippon Airways (ANA) will launch daily direct flights between its base in Tokyo Narita and Phnom Penh – the capital of Cambodia.
Flights are slated to begin on September 1, with Cambodia becoming the eighth ASEAN country served by ANA. Once launched, the service will be the only direct link between Japan and Cambodia.
The Star Alliance member explained the new route was influenced by growing market demand, as companies around the world are attracted to the emerging Cambodian market. As a manufacturing centre, Phnom Penh represents a high-potential market for products and services.
The Tokyo Narita–Phnom Penh service will be operated by the B787-8 Dreamliner, which features a two-class configuration with 42 seats in business and 198 in economy.
Flight NH817 departs Tokyo at 1050 and arrives in Phnom Penh at 1510. The return service will see flight NH818 take off from the Cambodian capital at 2250 before touching back down in Tokyo at 0645 the following day.
