Lufthansa has added two new online pre-flight services, allowing passengers to browse and reserve in-flight shopping purchases, and download ejournals for their flight.
Customers now have the option to download two ejournals onto their personal device, by visiting lh.com/eJournals and inputting their name and reservation code or ticket number from three days before departure.
Lufthansa says that the ejournals will offer a range of reading material "in various genres and languages". Further ejournals can be purchased for a fee, and from March the carrier will offer customers different numbers of downloads depending on the class of travel and frequent flyer status.
Lufthansa has also launched a new pre-flight shopping service, allowing passengers to reserve selected items from the carrier's WorldShop range up to four days before departure.
Around 180 "premium products" are available for reservation including perfumes, watches and children's toys, with passengers then able to examine them in-flight before committing to purchase.
