Marriott Hotels has opened its largest property in Europe in the Spanish capital. The Madrid Marriott Auditorium Hotel and Conference Centre is the brand’s third property in Spain, and offers a total of 869 rooms.
Formerly known as Hotel Auditorium Madrid, the building has undergone extensive renovation since its purchase in November 2015. The transformation features an impressive new facade, that changes from day to night.
The hotel features a wide variety of facilities, including both an indoor and outdoor pools, a sauna, tennis courts and a fitness centre. For business guests, there is 15,500 sqm of event space and an auditorium that can seat up to 2,000 people.
The renovation also boasts two new dining experiences, Champions Bar for an American diner vibe, and Kalma for a more classic Mediterranean feel.
Marriott International recently opened a second property in the Belarusian capital Minsk under its Marriott Hotels and Resorts brand (see news January 7).
