Budget hotel chain Travelodge is to open 19 new properties this year, and has already signed three new properties in 2016.
The new locations include four new hotels in London (Belvedere, Finchley, Finsbury Park and Raynes Park), as well properties in Andover, Bristol, Bicester, Chatham, Derby, East Grinstead, Glasgow, Kings Lynn, Peterhead, Poole, Sale, Stirling, Stockport, Thetford and Weston-super-mare.
The openings will bring Travelodge's network to 542 properties, and the group says it has identified 250 further locations for Travelodge development in the UK.
The new hotels will all feature the group’s revamped room design, with Travelodge having completed a three-year, £100 million modernisation programme in December (see news December 22, 2015).
The group also launched a new "all-you-can-eat" breakfast menu late last year, including Lavazza coffee and Linda McCartney vegetarian options (see news November 11,2015).
In addition to the new properties scheduled to open this year, Travelodge has signed its first hotels of 2016, with new agreements in London Acton, London Wood Green and Oxford.
