The Shangri-la Doha opens today in Qatar.
The 50-storey five-star hotel which has been designed to resemble a falcon’s head, is offering opening rates from QAR895 (£165) per room, per night.
Developed by Al Rayan Tourism Development Company, the Shangri-La Hotel, Doha is adjacent to the Doha Exhibition and Conference Centre in the West Bay district.
The 272 rooms and suites range in size from 46 to 288 square metres and there are 42 serviced apartments. The hotel has seven food and beverage outlets, including a Chinese restaurant and a Horizon Club on level 42 with 360-degree views. The hotel has free wifi throughout.
Its Health Club has a 2,000-square-metre pool deck with an outdoor swimming pool, gym, Jacuzzi, and steam and sauna facilities. There is also the Shangri-la spa, CHI, The Spa.
Event and banqueting facilities include a Grand Ballroom of 840 square metres and eight meeting rooms.
