Ovolo Hotels has opened a new property in Sydney, situated on the famous 100 year-old Woolloomooloo Wharf.
While the exterior “old school” façade of the hotel building has been retained, all 100 guestrooms and public spaces have been designed to incorporate the brand’s funky design elements. Ovolo Hotels partnered with international firm Hassell to oversee the design of the property.
Standard guest privileges include use of an iPad in their rooms, free minibar and in-room snacks, walk-in showers and unlimited local calls. There will also be a 24/7 indoor pool and gym opening soon, as well as a self-service laundry area.
The Lo Lounge is the central hub of Ovolo Woolloomooloo and is open to both hotel guests and members of the public. The space features multiple food and beverages servings and hotel guests can enjoy happy hour from 5-7pm every day. Free continental breakfast and snacks are available throughout the day, and there is also wifi connectivity throughout the entire lounge.
Ovolo Hotels has also partnered with the government initiative Artbank to showcase a unique collection of Australian artwork throughout the property. This is complemented by a prominent 86kg clock by Swedish design studio Humans Since 1982, which takes centre stage in the lobby.
