Onyx Hospitality has announced plans to open two new properties in China.
Shama Daqing Heilongjiang is scheduled to open in late 2016, with Amari Yangshou Guilin due to welcome guests from 2017. The latter is one of nine properties the group is due to open in China that year.
Shama Daqing Heilongjiang will contain 110 serviced apartments and will be located in the central business district of Daqing in the Heilongjiang province.
Facilities will include a kitchen, Shama Den lounge, fitness and business centres.
The 75-room Amari Yangshou Guilin will be located next to West Street in Yangshou and will be part of an integrated commercial development by Shenzhen Yitian Group.
Amenities will include a Thai inspired restaurant and spa.
Peter Henley, Onyx Hospitality president and CEO, said: "These two new properties are part of our growing portfolio of 59 properties in operation including 20 under development.
"We continue to expand our footprint beyond our Thai roots across the Asia-Pacific region and have a strategic goal of managing 81 hotels, resorts and serviced apartments by 2018."
Last month, Henley announced Onyx will open its first two properties in India in 2017 and 2018 (see news, November 11).
